Frederick Tucker left the Indian Civil Service to join the Salvation Army. His second wife Emma, was a daughter of its founder General William Booth. They took the surname Booth-Tucker. Booth-Tucker served as Territorial Commander in the United States, from 1896 to 1904. Ffep inscribed to previous owner as a gift from her church. Cloth cover has some foxing, dust jacket has one closed tear. VG/GVG
