Sobre este artículo

This is a collection of short stories, "BORROWED TIME" by F. Scott Fitzgerald with its original dust jacket. 1951 1st edition, 1st printing; The Grey Walls Press; London. The book contains nine short stories in all, as follows: The Cut-Glass Bowl; May Day; The Camel's Back; The Diamond as Big as the Ritz; The Rich Boy; Absolution; Crazy Sunday; Two Wrongs; Babylon Revisited. The dust jacket is un-clipped with the original price intact on the front flap and comes with a clear, protective sleeve (not shown). From the dust jacket: "This collection takes its title from a short piece he wrote about the 'Jazz Age' in The Crack-Up, 'an age of miracles, an age of art, an age of excess and an age of satire...it had a wild youth and a heady middle age...it ended two years ago [1929], because the utter confidence which was its essential prop received an enormous jolt...it was borrowed time anyhow.' Condition: Clean covers and spine; sharp cover corners. Light foxing at the top and bottom edges of the text block; heavier foxing at the long edge. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. The text pages are clean with the exception of occasional light foxing at the outer page edges. The front end paper has dark tanning along the inner edge by the spine, a sticker affixed, and a name/year written in pen; the rear end paper has light tanning along the inner edge by the spine, light foxing, and "May 1951" stamped in ink at the bottom edge; the rear pastedown has an ink stamp at the bottom edge ("The Times Library 42, Wigmore Street, London, W.1."). Overall the book is in Very Good- condition. The dust jacket in un-clipped with the original price intact on the front flap; light foxing to the front cover, spine and flaps; heavier foxing on the back cover; small tears at the top/bottom edges of the spine and at the flap corners...overall the jacket is in Good condition.
