Abbott, an educator of wide influence and colorful personality, but to the boys of Lawrenceville (New Jersey) and Groton he was Bott," illustrated, the book has a nice overall appearance despite a few minor flaws: a mild cock to the spine (the binding remains tight) some faint smudges on the red cloth, faded areas to the red-tinted top outer page-edge and the former owner's bookplate on the blank front end-paper, the red jacket is present but has edge-loss, the spine is detached and faded and the folds are nearly detached, our professional (removable) mylar cover holds it all together and does wonders for its appearance, the original price (3.00) is present, scarce title .
