Sobre este artículo

Washington DC : The National Tribune, 1897 / 1898. Later printing. Paperback. Fair. Duodecimo, 383 pages, printed on wood pulp paper resulting in various defects.

Kerbey's autobiography, The Boy Spy, described an often overlooked aspect of espionage: the transmission of coded messages. He details the "history of war telegraphers in the field" and provides "a full account of the mysteries of signalling by flags, torches, and rockets." Broadfoot asserts that this title is the same work previously published in 1889 as THE BOY SPY, HOWEVER, that work had more than 550 pages, and a quick comparison of the Contents shows that this is not that text. Note: there was a sequel to this in 1898, FURTHER ADVENTURES OF A BOY SPY IN DIXIE. Admittedly, Kerbey appears to be the Little Big Man of the Civil War. His last book, in 1913, was ON THE WAR PATH: A Journey over the Historic Grounds of the Late Civil War.

Sobre Thomas J. Joyce And Company

Joyce And Company has been in business as a professional rare bookseller and appraiser since 1975. Owner Thomas Joyce was the regular book appraiser on Home & Garden TV\'s \"The Appraisal Fair\\\" program, on international broadcasts. Thomas Joyce was the co-discoverer of George Washington's personal copy of William Leybourn's 1679 edition of THE COMPLEAT SURVEYOR, from which young Washington learned some of his surveying skills at age 16. The book had vanished for nearly a century until its re-discovery in 2017. It is now back at Mt. Vernon.
