A fine watercolour study of Galanthus 'Ann's Millennium Giant' alongside an "ordinary" plant to demonstrate scale, by the eminent botanical artist Brigitte E. M. Daniel, dated spring 2000 and initialled with her elegant monogram (which incorporates the letters B.E.M.S.). Double acid-free white mount, the picture 455 x 340mm. Tasteful silver-gilt frame 660 x 545 mm. Painting in excellent condition, frame a little rubbed to edges. [Biography - Brigitte Daniel. Born 1959. Referenced in "A Passion for Plants", Shirley Sherwood, and The Hunt Institute. Awarded six Gold Medals and one Silver-Gilt Grenfell Medal. Her work is held in the RHS Lindley Library, the National Gallery and Museum of Wales. In 2007 she won her Gold Medal for eight paintings of auriculas.].
