Exterior lightly rubbed, mostly around spine edges, 1/4" tears across upper & lower spine cloth; interior hinge paper partially split at endpapers, though hinges firm; foxing to opening & closing pgs. & very mildly, occasionally within. Otherwise good given age, contents unmarked, binding tight. 626 pp. With many illustrations on wood, drawn by Wolf, engraved by Whymper.
