Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Moderate crushing to spine ends, with splitting, fraying and loss to the head, tail. Moderate tanning to spine. Gilt lettering is darkened.

A wonderful association copy, with both Smith's decorative bookplate on the front pastedown and Starrett's Signature on the half-title.
