Sobre este artículo
General Gramophone Publications, Harrow, Middlesex - 1979 hardcover, 6" x 8½", with dust jacket VERY GOOD book in VERY GOOD unclipped dust jacket SCARCE ITEM. As far back as 1840, the most British form of entertaintment, the Music Hall, began in Pimlico. It took until the turn of the twentieth century before gramophone records and cylinders by Music Hall stars were offered for sale, costing around AUD 75cents (37½p) each. Such items are now highly-treasured collectibles (despite their scratchy, clicking distortions). This book lists the artists alphabetically, with dates (exact & conjectured), location, accompaniment, make and catalogue number. Typography throughout this book appears as a sans serif typewriter face. Estimated number of entries = 10,000.
