Dark maroon cloth over boards with gilt stamped titles; top edge gilt; light brown end papers; tissue-guarded frontispiece in 1st volume. Clean, square covers and spine; rubbed at spine ends - light fraying; very slightly faded on spines - all titles clear; slight fading at cover edges; both vols have few light scrapes or insect grazes near edges; volume 2 is sharply bumped at top fore corner causing some wrinkles in cover; tightly bound; very clean interiors - many leave unopened at fore edges; slight age darkening at page edges - leaves remain supple. Includes bio by John Mitford (99 pp). 12mos, 1096 pp (paged 419, 195, 368 plus bio).
