Near-fine with slight rubbing to rear board, otherwise bright and clean inside and out. In a fine dust jacket. Goffstein was an American writer and illustrator of books for children and adults. She was the recipient of three New York Times Best Illustrated Children's Books of the Year awards, along with many other honors. This was her third published book, and first printings of her first few titles are almost never seen.
