An eclectic periodical, published coincident with Clark's Fulbright study and posting as Instructor in American Poetry, at the University of Essex. The titles varied (all words concluding with 'CE') but each was denoted "A One Shot Magazine ... No Copyright No Nothin." Beautiful copy of this rare sixties underground magazine from the UK, this issue including cover and interior images by artist Ian Breakwell, with poems and drawings by future underground music legend Kevin Coyne.

In its original stapled colour illustrated soft covers.With contributions from thirteen artists, including: Charles Grey, Bunny Jones, Sara Smith, John Bichard, Joe Vel, Don Rout, Andy Bradford, Hugo von Bottenthal, Geoffrey Swann, Shimmey McCloskey, and Dreek Humphries. Two are signed by the artists; these being the page by Rachel Ramirez, and that of Damon Alexis Summersgill. Includes a variety of collage items such as glitter, hair clippings, and even a chip fork in a plastic bag! Fascinating and complete. 24 pages. 290 x 205 mm (11½ x 8 inches).

A scarce pamphlet written and published by journalist, author, and polemicist of the "Old Right," John T. Flynn (1882-1964). Flynn began his career as a journalist at the New Haven Register before becoming an editor at the New York Globe specializing in finance. During the 1920s and 1930s Flynn would grow into a prominent social and political commentator, contributing columns to national publications such as the New Republic, Harper's Magazine, and Collier's Weekly. OCLC locates no copies.. A rare pamphlet from the early years of Young Americans for Freedom with the biographies of the group's speakers and their areas of expertise together with a reprint of the Sharon Statement on the rear wrap. The Sharon Statement was adopted on September 11, 1960 by a group of one hundred young conservatives who convened at the home of William F. Buckley Jr. in Sharon, Connecticut with the purpose of creating Young Americans for Freedom. The organization was founded to promote the ideals of individual freedom, strong national defense, and traditional values. YAF chapters soon spread to college campuses throughout the US and proved instrumental in the nomination of conservative Barry Goldwater as the Republican candidate for president in the 1964 presidential election.
