Sobre este artículo

Van Nuys, California: Venice West Publishers, 1976. Published after the poet's death, but poems selected and arranged by the poet in the last year of his life. Near fine (light spotting to top edges) in very good dust jacket (rubbing mainly along top edge; now protected with Brodart cover). The title poem explores the deteriorating Venice, California, of the 1950s, juxtaposing the faded dream of California canals with the hypocrisy of the Inquisition that burned Giordano Bruno in 1600: "what/was old Venice but a tourist trap/. . . jeweled slippers in the pigeon shit." Lipton ran a poetry school in Venice, California during the days when the Beats hung out there, and wrote "The Holy Barbarians" about them. 112 pages.. 1st Edition. Hard Cover.
