This is an ORIGINAL poster of a highly stylized "BUDDHA" by Polish Artist FRANCISZEK STAROWIEYSKI (1930-2009) adveristing an Exhibit at the Asia/Pacific Museum in Warsaw in 1982-3. 26 1/4" x 36 1/4". Expertly linen-backed for preservation and ease of handling. Franciszek Starowieyski is an important Polish artist whose posters are among the most highly collected of all the Polish posters of the late communist period. He was the first Polish artist to have a one-man show at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in new York City in 1986. This poster is increasingly scarce in the original. Near Fine.
