First Edition and First Printing of H.G. Wells' "The Bulpington of Blup". Octavo, black cloth boards, gilt imprinting at front cover and spine, 414 pp. Lacks the jacket. Very Good; corner bumping, most notable at top right front corner; fade to the spine imprinting, but not to the spine itself (scan); several small, very faint stain spots on each cover. Tight and firmly bound. See all scans. A psychological treatise-as-novel, the main character being Theodore Bulpington. Intended as a study of psychological roots of opposition to Well's own ideology, as well as something of a look at psychological responses to Word War I. To some degree, and separately, the novel was influenced by Carl Jung and Ford Madox Ford. Ships in a new, sturdy, protective box - not a bag. L43n
