In the original dust wrapper, toned and chipped with loss to lower spine. Inscription to ffep. dated 1951. Handwritten addenda to preface "Died April 8th 1958, in London aged 72". Light spotting to endpapers, minor rubbing to corners, a nice copy in the original cloth. Dust wrapper in a protective cover.
Francis Kingdon-Ward, OBE, (1885-1958) botanist, explorer, plant collector, author and spy for the British Government.
