William McLellan & Co., Glasgow, 1927. 2nd Edition. Soft cover. Fair/No Jacket. 64 pages (complete). A scrappy cover but most pleasant contents. The idea of this book may seem, at first, to be flimsy (if one were to be generous). Burns is not remembered (aside for his poetry and ballads) for his aversion to sin. Indeed his derision for authority figures and his casual disregard for loyalty to his romantic attachments is rife in his poems. Yet, this small book is an uplifting and joyous addition to any Burns collection. The manilla cover is much worn, scuffed, torn. Inside, the frontispage is missing.
