Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Burgundy gilt stamped cloth over illustrated boards, photogravure portrait and eight full-page illustrations by Thomas Worth, 112 pages, [6]. Corners and spine ends bumped, covers scuffed/worn, pages lightly toned, thumb-sized stain on one illustration in blank margin. William Henry Harrison Murray (18401904), also known as Adirondack Murray, was a clergyman and author of an influential series of articles and books which popularized the Adirondacks; he became known as the father of the Outdoor Movement.
