London: Collins, 1947. Bound in publishers beige coloured cloth boards with brown title lettering to spine. Very slight wear to binding otherwise the exterior of book is in presentable condition. The 128 pages remain in clean, fresh condition throughout with no marks or inscriptions and are squarely bound to spine. Book measures 26cm tall x 21cm wide. Cream coloured double matching endpapers to the front and rear of book. An abundance of black and white photographs supplement the excellent text. There is a preface by E.B. Ford, F.R.S. - Reader in Genetics at the University of Oxford. The lives and habits of 22 British butterflys are studied in this most interesting book. A tidy copy throughout.. First Edition. Very Good/No Jacket.
