Children's story about a magical summer between a brother & sister & two swallowtail butterflies, told in "poetic text" with lovely watercolor illustrations by Adrienne Adams. Unpaginated. Orig. published in 1964, this is a slightly later (12/65) printing of that FIRST EDITION. Hardcover small quarto (8" x 10.5") has brightly colored cloth-covered boards with an image matched on the accompanying DJ. An EX-LIB copy, with usual stamps & markings & card pocket, condition is nonetheless VG: quite clean & bright, binding strong & straight, pages lightly tanned but unmarked. The price-clipped DJ is Near Fine, having been protected under old library mylar; this has been carefully removed & replaced with brand new! Only DJ flaw is very minor wear to head of spine & old paper library call number to lower spine.
