Alman Photo approx. 4" x 5 1/2" + large-bordered mount; studio photographer identifiers at lower edge below photo; no date but circa 1880; with the pencil notation on back "Waring" referring to the "Stick Style" home pictured, which had been redesigned 1870-71 by Richard Morris Hunt incorporating many features of this mode, the home owned by Colonel George Waring, known as 'The Hypotenuse' situated at 33 Catherine Street Newport; albumen process; mount with light wear and rubbing, spotting; image fairly sharp and good; good condition overall. .
