Printed Title Page dated 1836 followed by Illustrated Title Page dated 1835. Engraved Illustration depicts 2 boys collecting Plants, after H. Corbould. Introduction followed by Part 1, Descriptive Botany and Part II Physilogical Botany. In-Text Illustrations. Contemporary Brown Calf Half-Leather Binding with Blue Paper Covered Marbled Boards and Leather Corners. Gilt Title on Black ground to spine and "Penzance Library" in Gilt letters at the bottom. "Penzance Library" (this would be the famous Private Library in Morrab Gardens not the Public one) stamped on ffep and penciled Ref. No on endpaper. 322 Pages, 330 Pages, 6 3/4" Tall. 2 small pieces of leather missing from spine. Some rubbing and a small scrape to boards. Slight edge wear. Hinges sound & Binding firm. Only a very occasional spot of foxing, Pages in very good, clean condition. Please ask if you would like any more pictures or information Size: 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. Half-Leather. Good. Book.
