Alfred Mame et Fils, 1866. First Edition. Leather Binding. Very Good. Folios. 13.5 x 17.5 in. 903; 949pp., with 118; 110 b/w engraved plates, each with a tissue guard. Text in French. Both volumes uniformly bound in three quarter brown straight grain morocco over marbled paper boards, with the original leather spines laid on. Marbles endpapers, top edges gilt; each volume with a dark blue silk ribbon marker. Rubbing along the edges of the boards, bumping to the corners, and light foxing in places; original spines heavily worn. Overall a Very Good set, given the size and weigh the binding are still intact and tight.
