All presubscribed prior to publication. Following the enthusiastic reception and mountains of compliments garnered by the first tribute to Caldwell, Frank Read Press did a second book, this on the artist's work in general. There are fabulous illustrations of African game (his watercolors are world renowned), references, notes, information on his studio, a bibliography of notes and references and a zoologist's appraisal of Caldwell's work. There are 44 full page colored plates of Caldwell's work each with a matching page of text. The quality of workmanship and materials has rarely been matched in bookmaking. Clearly this was a long labor of love for the Reeds and they made sure it would be a book that will long be remembered. Another fitting tribute to Caldwell's work.
