Sobre este artículo

No place of publication: privately printed, n.d. [1934]. First Edition. One of 100 copies printed for Powell’s wedding; spine a little faded; near fine. This cataloguer has never seen a copy that was not inscribed, but this is an especially poignant and meaningful one; presented around 1968 to his older son on the occasion of his own wedding. “Tristram and Virginia with love. This was printed as a wedding present. The musical section is by Constant Lambert. It was composed during a period of insomnia. The printer was much known for never being sober. AP.” Part of the joke was that this satiric poem was so poorly printed by a drunkard that its many errors had to be corrected in ink by the author.
