New York: Alfred A Knopf, 1965 Cloth hard cover, top corner bumped, bookplate to endpaper; color pictorial dust jakcet with long, jagged tears repaired on verso, damp stain and rippling, original price intact ($3.50). First Edition based on price, no later ads and "50 Years of Borzoi" emblem on rear flap (Knopf was founded in 1915). A little boy "wanders" through the intricate patterns of a patchwork quilt depicting a wild array of animals. Gorgeous and quite difficult to find in the first edition.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Poor. Illus. by Dahlov Ipcar. 4to.
