A quantity of six hand-colored engravings extracted from a bound volume of Howe's "The Great West," versos blank, evidence of offsetting from printed pages opposite, inner margins ragged where removed, somewhat browned. These are original engravings, NOT reproductions! A quantity of six original hand-colored engravings from Howe's "The Great West" (1858), suitable for framing. The subjects of the engravings are:
1. Emigrant Camp
2. San Francisco (NB: this is a very early view!)
3. Heroism of a Pioneer Woman
4. Caravan of Emigrants for California
5. View in the Ruins of the Alamo
6. Gold Miners' Camp.
