Guthrie, and a particularly lovely copy of Stewart's best-known work. Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound, internally clean hardcover copy bound in tan cloth, with unbruised tips, illustrations to front cover, lettering to spine, neat and tidy paste-downs; not ex-library, with neither highlighting nor underlining. Sharp and distinct gilt lettering to spine. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, showing only very minor wear, dust jacket not being price-clipped. Illustrated endpapers, being a lovely pencil drawing of two steers in lockdown and then a two-page map of California. Volume contains scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. Frontis matter + 339 pp., and lots of lovely illustrations.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
