First published 1971; this is the 1986 3rd, substantially Revised Edition. Every trail in the book was "reconsidered and rewritten"; many trails in the previous two editions were based on "one-visit experiences", for this edition, descriptions are formed from 3 to 4 visits. To accomodate the richer in information of flora and fauna, trail conditions, and seasonal variables, has expanded the guide by some 100 pages. Additionally, shorter trails (1 to 3 kilometres) eliminated from the 2nd Edition have been restored.
