Maps. prints and descriptions of the first edition of this massive tomb. Two volumes bound in one in a later library cloth binding. DAMP STAINING to the later cloth hardback boards. Interspersed with engraved plates. 28 cm. Map frontispiece. 2 title page illustrations. Very fine and clean plates printed on heavy paper. No off-setting and only an accasional foxing marks. Text pages fine with wide margins and only an occasional fox spot. Some plates have a trifle mottling to the margins but not affecting the images. PLEASE EMAIL FOR PHOTOS.. 1st edition. Hardback.
