Each verse with an illustration (watercolor with pen and ink) by Frances Delehanty, in English, with the Latin verse in Art Deco calligraphy, on the opposite page with musical scoring!
Based upon a passage which appears after Daniel 3:23, in some translations, of the Bible:
In the third chapter of the book of Daniel, they are called Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, but in the canticle itself they are Ananias, Azarias, and Misael. The latter are their Hebrew names, and the former the Chaldean names given to them exiled with their kinsmen in Babylon.
