Also included are Lockley's interviews with Jack McNemee, whose father built the fourth house in Portland, and with Lavinia Hiltibrand Cottel, the grand-daughter of Solomon Tetherow. Concludes with a reproduction of the constitution, minutes, and proceedings of the Savannah [Missouri] Oregon Emigrating Society (Tetherow's company, April 1845), a census of the group, a list of the cattle drivers, and a roll of the armed men.
