This unique photographic history of 132 pictures includes the Pulitzer winners from 1942 to 2003. Among them are Joe Rosenthal's World War II photograph of the raising of the flag over Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima, Robert Jackson's photograph of Jack Ruby killing Lee Harvey Oswald. Others show the brutalities of war and racism and despotism. There are also photographs of better moments like Scott Shaw's photographs of the rescue of baby Jessica from a well. "These photographs are magnetic, often disturbingly so, for one simple reason...They capture the moment." Book looks new, doesn't appear to have ever been opened.
