Folding map with slight repair at hinge. Fore edge and bottom edge untrimmed. Light marginal browning. A nice copy of a scarce title. Translated from the original unpublished manuscript by Capt. William Jesse and edited by H. D. Seymour. The author became Adjutant-General of the Persian Army. He performed this perilous journey at a very early date and probably was acting as a British Spy at the time. 1856
