Huntington, West Virginia: Unpublished, 2010. "Cardinals on Holly" is an original opaque watercolor (gouache) painting by celebrated wildlife artist Charles Lewis (Chuck) Ripper (1929-2019). Ripper’s detailed watercolors have appeared on 100 magazine covers, 81 United States postage stamps, and 575 conservation stamps for the National Wildlife Federation. "Cardinals on Holly" was painted circa 2010 by the artist for his friend Codell Jones. The painting measures 11 inches by 8 1/2 inches and is archivally double-matted (17" by 14 1/2") and shrinkwrapped. NOTE: Both the painting and the mat are in virtually perfect condition: any discoloration you see is a function of glare from being photographed in shrinkwrap.. SIGNED. Original Painting.
