Sobre este artículo
New York: Two Palms/Prestel Publishing, 2016. First Edition. . Hardcover. Fine/Issued Without Jacket. Dunham is a well-known contemporary American painter and printmarker currently based in the NYC area with recent exhibitions in Europe. This book is a compilation of Dunham's monotype prints from 2005 - 2016 with accompanying text by Asmund Thorkildsen, Norwegian art historian specializing in modern and contemporary art and professor of art theory at Oslo National Academy of Arts. Dunham's eclectic style combines elements of surrealism, psycheldelics, and cartooning in complex images that are often erotic and sexually explicit. First Printing, First Edition. Issued without dustjacket. About 8 3/4 x 10 1/4 inches; unpaginated except for essay text; white cloth-covered boards with title in black lettering on spine and back cover. Front cover features centered, pasted-on reproduction of "Untitled," #145, 2010, in watercolor and pencil, a full-color, 6 x 8 inch, semi-abstract image of a nude in a swimming pool. 156 full-color reproductions of Dunham's monotypes with a list of the works illustrated and an illustrated essay by Thorkildsen with a short "after word" by the artist. This is a review copy in Fine condition with no noticeable flaws, complete, clean and unmarked. Certainly a must for anyone interested in Dunham's work.
