Sobre este artículo
Leiden., c1713-14. Pieter van der AA (1659-1733) was from a family of booksellers and publishers in Leiden, who flourished during the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries. His work was well executed and highly regarded by his contemporaries. The maps themselves are easily recognized and distinguished by their attractive title cartouches, and for the precise cartographic detail they contain. This map depicts the Rhone river, south of Lyons, and the regions to the east (mostly) and the west. Size: 245 x 345 mm. Copperplate engraving with original outline colour and later hand colour. Fair condition. Some staining, repairs and discolouration to the central fold.
