Cambridgeport, Mass: Warren, 1860. Original document. Very Good. Head-and-shoulders sepiatone portrait of Choate in a jacket, vest, white dickey and loose bow tie. Below the image is printed, "Warren, Cambridgeport, Mass." Written on the verso in light pencil is "Choate" [not an authentic signature]. Choate (1799-1859) was born at Ipswich, Massachusetts and died at Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was valedictorian of Dartmouth's class of 1819, earned a degree at Harvard Law, served in the State House and Senate, &c.
