Specially bound with three small leather bands with cover title decorated and illuminated by hand in an illuminated design in a Renaissance motif. Chip and small tear along top corner of spine, toning to spine and some darkening along front edge. Short gift inscription to front endpaer and date [Florence, Italy. 1946] in ink on bottom of front endpaper. Text clean. Must assume this was a special binding of the book bought in Florence. Scarce.
