285, [1] pp. book of poems in Spanish. 8vo. Affectionately inscribed by the author for "la Señorita Montserrat" in 1963 on the half title page. Very good. Illus. stiff wraps are larger than the text block, with small folds and tears at the overhang. A handsome copy. [1389]
A founder of Grupo Esfinge and an important figure in Yucatecan letters, Esquivel Pren was also a novelist, historian, and literary critic. The front cover features a bold, uncredited illustration evocative of the Estridentismo style.
