Book #2 in the YA series featuring intrepid young sleuth, Barclay "Brains" Benton & his friend Jimmy "Operative Three" Carson, who form an International Detective Agency. Characters originally created by Charles Spain Verral, who used the pseudonym George Wyatt in every book after the first. This is one of the first Whitman reprints from the early-mid 1960s, in188 pages, illustrated throughout by Hamilton Greene. Hardcover small 8vo has decorative paper over boards & is in only Fair condition: basically a place holder or reading copy only! EX-LIB, with usual stamps & markings in front & rear, call number to spine. Heavy rubbing to all extremities. Binding secure, but front hinge is cracked. Pages heavily tanned, but unmarked.
