Relates to the election of Members of Parliament for Taunton in 1721, both Trenchard and Smyth (Smith) were duly returned. Trenchard is best known for his opposition to a standing army, against which he wrote several pamphlets. BL only in ESTC. First Edition. Unbound. Good. Folio. Broadsheet.
