A fairly fresh copy with limited wear to the binding, just some softening to the spine ends; previous owner bookplate on the front pastedown otherwise, contents are clean and binding is solid; dust jacket has a bit of shelfwear, but is quite presentable; price intact. An uncommon mid-career mystery by Du Bois, remarkably well preserved given the wartime publication.
