Very good first edition in a good dust jacket, inscribed warmly to fellow writer "Tee" Rose, whose article on the "U.S. Male" appeared in a 1948 Argosy magazine with a Gardner piece. Jacket is missing a strip of the front flap where it attaches to the front panel of the dust jacket, and the same in the rear flap.
