Sobre este artículo

Rochester, New York: The Lawyers Co-operative Publishing Company, 1933. First Edition. Leather_bound. Near Fine. Quarto, measuring 10.25" x 7.25". Black leather, with bright gilt titling to spine, and gilt seal of The Lawyers Co-operative Publishing Company at bottom of spine. Previous owner's name to front free endpaper. 1292 pp. Very light rubbing to extremities. Sections of book divided into four "books": Book I: The Jurisdiction of Equity; Book II: Principles of Adjudication; Book III: Equitable Rights; Book IV: Equitable Remedies. An Index of Cases Reported found at front of book, and general Index at rear. Tight and bright. The author acknowledges his legal predecessors who have amply written about the larger aspects of Equity -- i.e., Trusts, Mortgages, Partnership, as well as ancillary topics deriving from those above-mentioned aspects, such as Assignments, Estoppel, Contribution and Subrogation. Rather he would suggest bringing this fore-knowledge to bear upon his selection of demonstrative cases. He writes (in his Preface, pp. iv): "the purpose, therefore, in this compilation has been to develop equitable principles rather than enlarge upon the adaptations of those principles to particular subject matters..." He hopes to achieve this goal by "presenting a body of cases which demonstrate the reasons for an equitable jurisdiction, disclose the nature and define the limites of that jurisdiction, and exhibit the considerations which control the exercise thereof..."
