Sobre este artículo
London: Molini, Polidori, Molini e Co, 1795. First Edition in Italian. Half-Leather. Very Good/No Jacket. First Illustrated edition and first translated into Italian. 8vo. 253pp., [1] errata. Half-title present, with 7 illustrations including the frontispiece. Rebound one half calf with marbled paper to boards. Gilt outlined spine bands and gilt lettering on leather label to the second compartment. Upper page edges soiled. Some faint water staining to upper pages, more visible on a few pages & plates toward middle of book. Some intermittent foxing, mostly to endpages & to plates. Light pencil throughout, and in the margins of a couple of plates. Contemporary gift inscription to the upper right corner of the first blank. Overall a good clean copy of an interesting printing of what is regarded as the first Gothic novel.
