Nowadays, however, the castle offers elaborate holidays for children. When Susie , from London, arrives at the castle, she realizes that the holiday is programmed to honour Dame Alys and her times. Slowly she begins to realize that she, and another of the holiday children, the mysterious Bryan, who can read the Book of Merlins but little else, are in touch with the past.
