Corners lightly scuffed, lower front one a more so. Spine head and heel compressed, lightly worn. Tight and solid. Pages intact, clean, no marks, no creases, toned. Maugham photo portrait and blurb from jacket affixed to endpapers. "Catalina" is novella. It is a story of the manners and exploits of the time, a compound of irony and romance. It is the story of Spain in the Golden Age of the sixteenth century. 275 pages. 5.5 x 8.2 inches. 1948, Doubleday & Company, Garden City, New York, USA

Sinopsis

W. Somerset Maugham was born in Paris in 1874. He began to study medicine in London but quit to focus exclusively on writing. In 1926 he bought a house in Cap Ferrat, France, which was to become a meeting place for a number of writers, artists and politicians. He died in 1965.
