From the preface: "These papers have each been treated as separate works, and their titles recorded under the author's name, a note being added giving reference to the transactions or periodicals where they may be found." Includes a biographical memoir of Sir Francis Ronalds. After retiring as Director of the Kew Observatory, Ronalds spent many years building his collection of electricity publications and compiling this bibliography. Upon his death in 1873, the work was continued and completed by Alfred J. Frost (acting librarian of the Society of Telegraph Engineers and a member of the Library Association).
