First edition, first printing, hardcover in original pebbled blue cloth with gilt. 1888. Good condition. 149 pages complete with all blanks. General wear to boards. Not ex-library but ex-collector - front end papers have pencil notations, text with pencil notations and checkmarks as well. No vandalism. One segment of binding (pages 35-46) loose at the bottom - should not be a problem if used with care. A scarce book rarely found without library markings in decent condition. Essentially covers the first 100 years of official US Navy authors. Please see scans of the book you will receive.
