Sobre este artículo
London: T Werner Laurie, c1904. First edition. Cloth. Good. 8" by 5.5". Not Stated. A charming two volume set from Francis Miltoun's 'Cathedral Series', in decorative cloth binding. A lovely two volume set from Francis Miltoun's Cathedral Series. Including 'Cathedrals of Southern France' and 'Cathedrals of Northern France'. In the publisher's decorative cloth binding, with lovely images of different cathedrals from the regions. These books are intended to serve as a 'literary cathedral tour' of different regions of France. 'Cathedrals of Southern France' contains a frontispiece of St. Andre de Bordeaux, a folding map of France, seventeen plates, and numerous other illustrations throughout. 'Cathedrals of Northern France' contains a frontispiece of Notre Dame de Noyon, a folding map of France, nineteen plates, and numerous other illustrations throughout. In the publisher's original decorative cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor shelf wear. The binding on Southern France is slightly torn to the head of the spine, and slightly torn at the corners of the tail of the spine. Slight bumping to the head and tail of the spines on both volumes. Internally, hinges to Southern France have failed. Frontispiece of Northern France has detached. Binding remains firm on both volumes. Pages contain the odd spot, but are otherwise bright and clean.
